Meet the Doctors
Dr. Ignatius Nate Gerodias
Originally from San Francisco, “Dr. Nate” is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. After earning his dental degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, he completed his pediatric dental training at Northwestern University School of Medicine/Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 2006, Dr. Nate returned home to San Francisco and started working in our office as well as becoming a Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry.
Dr. Nate is a member of Kids International Dental Services. He leads yearly dental missions in which he mentors younger professionals about making volunteerism part of their careers. Dr. Nate’s main interests lie in behavior modification of the pediatric patient, caries management, and global health.
Dr. Nate, his wife, and his daughters enjoy following the Bay Area's world championship teams, the Giants, Niners, and the Golden State Warriors. You can also catch them meandering around the City pretending to be tourists.
Dr. Nate also speaks Tagalog.
Dr. Melanie Perea-Corkish
Dr. Melanie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry who obtained her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry and the University of Illinois Medical Center. Dr. Melanie earned a Master's of Science Degree in Oral Sciences during her pediatric dental residency. She has been with our office since July 2005.
In her spare time, Dr. Melanie loves to read, sing and spend time with her husband and daughters.
Dr. Emily Wang
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry with degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She was honored with the University of Southern California's Hugh Kopel Award as Resident of the Year and was elected to the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang has been with our office since August 2004.
She spent a few years giving back to her alma mater and teaching at the University of California, San Francisco before parenthood. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, arts & crafts, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Wang also speaks Mandarin and some Spanish.
